Dear Families,
Recently the Elementary School sent home a packet of information containing Board Policies regarding attendance, DASA, acceptable use, and code of conduct. This communication was done in an effort to consolidate district-wide PreK-12 practices.
All of these policies have been in existence, but we wanted to ensure that all families were aware of them. We would like to promote each student’s commitment to understanding the importance of the safe use of technology, the importance of attending school, and the importance of treating others with kindness and respect. Because each parent knows their child best, we were hoping that families would discuss these policies with their child in a way that each child would understand.
To this end, we are asking you to partner with us in discussing the information in a developmentally appropriate fashion, having your child sign in any way you feel appropriate, and returning the forms to the school. Please note that elementary students are supervised when using technology; however, the Acceptable Use Form is required for your child to have access to district technology. Should you have any further questions or require any further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Langworthy or Ms. Adams.
Sincerely,
Matt Langworthy
Principal
