SWHS Athletics Update: State Swim Meet, Lady Trojans Advance, and Unified Bowling Celebrated

Southwestern athletics continue to shine as several student-athletes and teams celebrate exciting accomplishments.

Miles Moore, Grady Moore, Michael Rambacher, and Landon Frederes are headed to Ithaca College this weekend to compete in the New York State Swim Meet. Competing at the state level is an outstanding achievement, and the entire Southwestern community wishes them the best of luck as they represent SW on the big stage.

Meanwhile, congratulations go out to our Lady Trojans Basketball Team, who earned a strong 56–32 victory over Eden last evening. The Lady Trojans will now move on to the Cross-Over game against Section 5, which will take place next Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Gates-Chili High School.

In recent weeks, the Southwestern school community has also gathered for several “Trojan Send-Offs” to celebrate and support our athletic teams heading into important competitions, including our Unified Bowling Team. The team competed in their final match of the season this past Tuesday, and we encourage everyone to congratulate our bowlers on a fantastic season when you see them.

In addition, Shelby Swarthout was recently honored with the Heart of a Champion Character Athlete Award through Cross Training Athletics, recognizing outstanding sportsmanship, leadership, and character. Congratulations to Shelby on this well-deserved recognition. 🏊‍♂️🏀🎳
