Southwestern Central School District will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all school buildings to strengthen safety for our students and staff.

Visitors entering beyond the main office will be asked to present a valid state-issued ID. Raptor scans only the visitor’s name, date of birth, and photo and checks the information against a national database of registered sex offenders. It does not collect other information from the ID or connect to systems such as the Department of Motor Vehicles. Once approved, visitors will receive a badge identifying their name, visit date, and purpose.

Visitor badges will not be required for individuals who are simply dropping off an item or picking up paperwork in the office. Raptor check-in will also not be required for large public events, such as concerts and athletic contests.
