Members of the ski and snowboard club at Southwestern High School set off on a cool adventure to Vermont over mid-winter break.
The Trojans departed Monday (February 19, 2024) and reported a smooth start to the journey with a lunch-and-shopping pitstop in Syracuse, NY.
They arrived in the Green Mountain State by evening and enjoyed a dinner out as a big group.
On Tuesday morning (February 20, 2024) they hit the first chairs at Killington Resort and skied under beautiful blue skies all day. Chaperone and district teacher Adam Frisbee reports the weather could not have been any better.
Departure from the resort was delayed a bit due to a dead battery on the bus, but they made it back to the hotel and celebrated with a pizza dinner and had a nice birthday party for Micah Lindell.
Today’s weather (Wednesday, February 21, 2024) was even better. It was a bit warmer, but again there was not a cloud in the sky.
These Trojans wrap up this wintry whirlwind field trip with a brief stop for dinner in the Syracuse area. They are due to arrive home in Lakewood very early Thursday, February 22, 2024. l
