SWHS Students Compete at SkillsUSA Regional Event

Congratulations to Senior Kylee Miller, who earned 2nd Place in the Employment Application Process competition at the SkillsUSA Region I event recently held at Alfred State College. Kylee is enrolled in the Health Careers Program through the Career & Technical Education (CTE) program at the Hewes Center, where students gain valuable hands-on experience while preparing for careers in the healthcare field.

Several other Southwestern students also proudly represented the district at the competition. Jessica Kier, enrolled in Criminal Justice, competed in Action Skills; Kylee Franklin, also in Criminal Justice, competed in Job Interview; and Chloe Taylor, enrolled in Information Technology, competed in Computer Maintenance.

We are proud of these students for representing Southwestern and showcasing the skills they are developing through their CTE programs. Congratulations to all!
