SWMS Names Top Students for December 2022

Southwestern Middle School is pleased to introduce its Students of the Month for December 2022. Congratulations to Sixth-grader Jack Irons, seventh-grader Leala Carlson and eighth-grader Dorian Weaver.

Sixth-grader Jack Irons’ favorite subjects are science, math and gym.  Jack plays on Southwestern Rec Basketball, Football and Baseball teams, he also is the manager of Southwestern Modified Basketball team.  Outside of school, he plays on Gladiators Baseball team, he also likes to hunt, do art, and ride his dirt bikes. Jack is the son of Lakewood residents Joseph and Julie Irons

 

Seventh-grader Leala Carlson’s favorite subject is Social Studies.  Leala is on the Southwestern Girls Cross Country team and will be trying out for the Modified Girls Softball team.  She is a member of the Southwestern Tech Crew for the spring musical. When Leala is not in school, she likes to play games on her phone and go to the gym. Leala is the daughter of Jamestown resident Heather Meyer and Lakewood resident Gregory Carlson.

 

Eighth-grader Dorian Weaver’s favorite subject is math. Dorian is a member of Southwestern Student Council, Ski and DND clubs and plays trumpet in band. Outside of school, he likes to play video games, build plastic models, read, and spend time with his family and his cat. Dorian is the son of Jamestown residents Kendra and Anthony Weaver.
